Training Tip of the Day 18-18 Efficiency Filter

Training Tip of the Day 18-18 Efficiency Filter. A training concept I use a lot is running what I do through an “efficiency filter.” I don’t think there is one perfect way to perform a specific handgun function whether it’s a reload, a malfunction clear, etc. because external and internal circumstances are fluid in both competition and self-defense situations. I do think though that most, if not all of us, can be more efficient in our movements. One of the best ways to discover this is through watching camera footage of your competition stages or range drills. As you conduct these self-assessments, determine where you can be more efficient in your movements, timing, and actions. Doing this will increase your competition times, and overall handgun competency exponentially! In my next training tip, I will discuss segmenting, which is one of the most common mistakes shooters make in terms of efficiency! SUNDAY, AUGUST 19 our 6 YEAR ANNIVERSARY CONCEALED CARRY COURSE IS GOING DOWN!!! Like, share, and comment friends and some see us at one of our upcoming events! Until then, check out Fundamental Handgun Mastery on Amazon in e book or paperback. Train hard, be safe, and see you on the range!
