Your stance is your base or shooting platform. The more stable your base, the better your shooting platform will be. To some extent, stance is unique to the individual. The basic principles of an effective stance are knees slightly bent, weight forward, and toes pointed toward your intended target. Finally, most shooters also like to stand feet shoulder width apart with their shooting side foot slightly behind their other foot.
